Thank You for Celebrating the Kansas City Collection V Launch with Us!

Dear Friends of the Kansas City Collection,

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone that attended the launch of our fifth cycle of The Kansas City Collection at the global architecture design practice, Populous. The KCCV opening reception and temporary exhibition featured 45 artworks by all fifteen participating artists, and the release of Kansas City Collection V catalogue.

We are extremely grateful for the support from the arts community, members of The Collectors Fund, past and present Kansas City Collection artists, writers, and curators. As our goal is to showcase the outstanding artwork of Kansas City’s fine artists at leading area businesses, we could not have accomplished this without participation of our partner companies for the Kansas City Collection V: Barkley, Black & Veatch, Populous, Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City and Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas.

The Kansas City Collection V features 83 works of art including drawing, painting, photography, ceramics, printmaking and sculpture by fifteen diverse artists. We congratulate the hard work and talent of each of the artists in the 2018 – 2019 program: Corey Antis, Miki Baird, Marcus Cain, Rain Harris, Jessica Heikes, Tonia Indigo Hughes, Glyneisha Johnson, Kathy Liao, Marie Bannerot McInerney, Desiree Morales, Dylan Mortimer, Miguel Rivera, Hyeyoung Shin, William Toney and Casey Whittier. Spend some time on our website to learn more about the artists, view the work that is featured in this collection and read the commissioned essays by local writers.

Special thanks to the creative team at Barkley who designed the catalogue, our insightful contributing essayists, photographer Juliana Noelle Jumper, and Bread & Butter Catering. If you did not receive a KCCV catalogue, you can find a digital copy under the Publications tab on our website, or contact us for a print copy.

Above is a slideshow from the event. For additional photos from the opening reception and temporary exhibition, visit the Installation section of the Artists tab on our website. Please keep an eye on our news and events page on our website for updates on the collection, and upcoming exhibitions and announcements from the KCCV artists.

All the Best,
